BELAKU SHISHU NIVASA

My first every post. Though to begin it was an awareness towards a right cause.

Let me introduce u all to Belaku(Light) a home of, Gods less blessed children. Located down south of Bangalore this Shishuvihra is indeed a place of worship. Neat and tidy within is 30X40 first floor building, Belaku is run by Mr. Mohan, a man of great virtues. A small orphanage as it is seen by many us, is a beautiful home for 20 destitue children between the age of 6-14. The look of the building, having the feel of a home, has a wide staircase neatly swept. One would notice the shoe rack at the enterance divided by equal markings, bearing the childs name and number. They park their shoes at their corresponding lot and walk into the house.

At the enterance is Mr. Mohan's office the man behind the making of Belaku, welcomes every visitor which his warm and charming smile. One can see his honesty and the devotion towards his organisation.

Children there are brought up with disipline and are dignified and well behaved, beyond their age. They have a dedicated time for every activity and deliver them with grace. Evening is the time they watch television or catch up a movie over the weekend(TV).
They have been taught various prayers which will be recited before breakfast/lunch/dinner. All the kids go to the near by Mahila Mandali school. and every child's birthday is celeberated like any of ours.

They is a monthy subscription of the Belaku newpaper. A 4 page small journal with great words of wisdom and knowlegde imprinted.
No doubt that one would run out of space wiritng about the greatful accomplishments of Mr. Mohan and Belaku.

There is so much in this world that we can do to bring a smile on those innocent faces. A thought of it is half the deed done.

Lets help in making a HOME out of the HOUSE for these children and make them feel special.

Bullu, firstly I would like to thank you for taking me to such a nice place - 'Belaku'. Felt so happy when I saw those children, at the same time felt very sad for their fate. Nothing is in our hands, now we cannot change their past, at least we can see to it that we are of some help in nurturing their future.

Keep the Good work going...
Cheers…
